About Us

Tallahassee Autism Academy (“The Academy”) is a forward-thinking hybrid educational model created for children diagnosed with autism. The Academy blends the structure of a traditional classroom with the compassion and expertise of the Cayer Behavioral Group team.

We combine the flexibility of homeschool-style learning with a vibrant learning community — free from traditional school constraints — guided by educators and behavior professionals who honor each learner's individuality while cultivating confidence, curiosity, and meaningful connections, allowing a 1:1 experience for your learner. The Academy's Learning Lab pairs academic readiness with medically necessary supports. This is a win for our families, win for our learners, win for our community. 

At The Academy, we believe every child deserves a learning environment where they are known, celebrated, and supported in ways that honor their unique strengths. We proudly partner with families who have chosen a home education path and are seeking meaningful, in-person learning experiences for their children. We are currently pursuing participation in Florida scholarship programs, including the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (Unique Abilities Scholarship), with the hope of expanding access to more families in our community.
